Some of you may be aware that our current therapy dog, Ellie, will be retiring this Christmas. She has spent the last three years visiting school on a weekly basis with her owner Miss Wallwork. She has provided comfort and relaxation to numerous learners and has been a great friend to all. Whilst she would love to continue coming into school she has now reached a grand old age of 11 and is spending more time sleep and relaxing herself. She is not leaving the school without a canine friend though as she has been training up her apprentice, Matilda. Matilda is a Border Terrier X Jack Russell Terrier born August 2017 and she has begun her training with Miss Wallwork. She has been attending school since the middle of October and is loving life as a school dog. She is already becoming a firm favourite with the learners and has provided rich rewards for those who are in class and completing their work. Good luck to both of our school dogs in their new ventures in 2018.
