This half term 9.3 and 9.4 have worked together in their Citizenship lessons to develop a community project. They chose to design a project for their school community and decided to host a fun day where they decided on events. Thank you for organising such a wonderful afternoon.

A BIG well done to everyone involved in ‘Oakfield’s Got Talent’ show. The dancers showed great team work, KS5 had such energy in their delivery, the hosts were a great double act and Y8 were fantastic in their Bugsy Malone master class. We can't wait for next year!

On Friday in Food Technology, learners in 8.4 made tortilla wrap pizzas as a healthy alternative to traditional pizzas. As we are focusing on low GI foods, we used a variety of bases including wholemeal, white and half and half and we did a taste test too!
This lesson also included some science, as we talked about energy in food and the importance of a healthy diet!

The Art department at Oakfield are excited to provide an update on the entries submitted to The Royal Society of Arts Young Artists' Summer Show 2022. There were 21,000 entries and the judges have now made their selections. We are beyond proud to announce that artwork by two of our year 7 learners has been selected for the online exhibition. Massive congratulations to Jacob and Caitlin.
Thank you to all of our learners who took the time to create and submit a piece of artwork. Miss Sanderson enjoyed seeing each and every piece.
The online exhibition will launch on 19th July 2022 if you would like to have a look at the artwork selected.
