Lee is a proud former student of Oakfield College, where he completed the Supported Internship programme. During his internship, Lee undertook a successful placement within Wigan Council, quickly becoming a valued member of the team.

His hard work and commitment paid off, Lee secured paid employment as a Street Team Operative shortly after completing his placement. Demonstrating reliability, dedication, and a strong work ethic, he continued to progress in his career.

Lee has since achieved a significant milestone, earning a promotion to Caretaker at Wigan Market. His journey is an inspiring example of how supported internships can open meaningful pathways into employment.

This month, Lee’s achievements have been recognised even further: He has been nominated for Intern of the Year within the Supporting Skills and Futures Team Awards.
