TURNPIKE GALLERY

Learners in year 8 produced work based on geometric art after visiting an exhibition at the Turnpike Gallery in Leigh. They then had several workshop sessions back in school with an artist to deepen their understanding of colour and ways to create art in a similar style to the work they looked at in the gallery. They learnt new drawing skills and ways to use colour for a collaborative final piece. This final piece is now on show in the Turnpike gallery for everyone in the community to see. This was a fantastic opportunity for our learners to participate in and a wonderful achievement to have their work celebrated and exhibited in a public gallery. Well done to Y8!
