World Book Day
For the majority of the day our Patron of Reading, Peter Lynas, worked with a college class to create the characters from his new book, which has not yet been published. The learners were so lucky to have the opportunity to look at some of the illustrations which are still being completed. Students only had one image to work from so they had to be imaginative. They used clay and crafted their very own characters, which are animals and took pride in the process, demonstrating just how very talented they are in the subject. They will be painting them once they are ready to do so and will be able to see their creations which will be pride of place on our new display in the library. We will share this with you as soon as it is ready to view.
Peter also worked with 10/1 for a lesson, sharing his journey to becoming a successful Author. He answered questions about the difficulties and challenges he had to overcome, in order to succeed.
