LOW BANK GROUND

On Monday 12th November this year’s group of Year 8 learners set off for their week long adventure at Low Bank Ground, Coniston. We arrived just in time for lunch… and the rain! Thankfully the rain only stayed until Tuesday and did not dampen our spirits.

Over the five days we orienteered around The Hawk, kayaked on Coniston, canoed out to Crocodile Creek, found our way from Torver to The Bluebird Café, ghyll scrambled in Badger Wood and got wet wandering around Tarn Hows. Mr Bradshaw organised a campfire on the last night and we had marshmallows around the fire, sadly there weren’t many marshmallows. We all had a great week despite the bad weather at the beginning of the week and our families not being there and look forward to going back. Huge thanks go to Mr Jameson, Amanda Brown, Miss Campbell, Miss Ford, Miss Lea, Miss Davis, Ms Holland, Miss Birch, Mr Derbyshire & Mr Bradshaw we could not have done it without you from Miss Wallwork.
